About Us

Our Story

ACT is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable arm of the Deputy Sheriff’s Association of Bexar County, dedicated to supporting Bexar County Sheriff’s deputies, their families, and the communities they serve. ACT promotes social, charitable, and educational programs that strengthen public safety, foster community engagement, and provide meaningful support to law enforcement professionals. Through outreach, goodwill, and service, we work to build trust, integrity, and mutual respect between deputies and the community members they protect.

Our Mission

In honor of fallen Bexar County Deputy Sheriff Lt. Jeremy Payne and his dedication to serving the community, our nonprofit organization is committed to continuing his legacy of compassion, service, and support. We provide essential resources, outreach programs, and community initiatives that benefit Bexar County families and public safety professionals.

Our mission includes promoting mental health awareness and suicide prevention for law enforcement officers and first responders, ensuring they have access to the support they need. Through ongoing community engagement and wellness initiatives, we strive to build a safer, stronger, and more connected Bexar County while honoring Lt. Jeremy Payne’s memory in a meaningful and lasting way.

We envision a future where our nonprofit charitable organization stands as a symbol of healing, remembrance, and ongoing support for Bexar County law enforcement families and first responders.

We strive to be a trusted source of mental health awareness, suicide prevention resources, and wellness support, fostering a strong sense of unity among deputies, first responders, and the communities they serve.
